No less than 12 individuals, including youngsters, were killed when different rockets hit a town in the Golan Levels Saturday in an assault depicted by Israel as the deadliest against it since October 7.

Among the destinations hit in the assault was a soccer field where kids and teens had been playing, Israel Protection Powers (IDF) representative Daniel Hagari said. He portrayed the assault as "the deadliest assault on Israeli regular people since October 7."

Israeli President Isaac Herzog censured the assault as a "horrendous and stunning debacle" and promised Israel would "safeguard" its residents.
"Hezbollah fear mongers fiercely went after and killed youngsters today, whose main wrongdoing was going on a mission to play soccer. They didn't return," he said in that frame of mind on X.
"The world can't keep on sitting peacefully in that frame of mind of (Hezbollah pioneer Hassan) Nasrallah's fear assaults, which come at the command of the realm of underhanded in Iran. The Province of Israel will immovably safeguard its residents and its sway."
The assault on Saturday is a significant heightening in what has been a very unstable few months in the boundary region.
Formally, Lebanon and Israel are - and have been for a really long time - in a condition of war, yet the new strains have so far not swelled into an all out struggle.

Naftali said Israel should strike back. "That's the last straw," he said. "The best way to deflect our adversaries from hitting us constantly from Yemen, from Iran, from Iraq, from Lebanon is to retaliate and to hit them, there could be no alternate way."
In remarks focused on Netanyahu, he added, "We can't have additional addresses, it's the ideal opportunity for activity."
In the interim, Netanyahu held a security conference with his tactical secretary General Roman Gofman, and will hold a security circumstance evaluation with every one of the tops of the protection foundation later on Saturday, his office said.
Israeli resistance pioneer Benny Gantz made a trip to Majdal Farces on Saturday, approaching Netanyahu to expand IDF presence nearby.

'Critical sights'
Adeeb Safadi, an occupant of Majdal Hoaxes, let CNN know that those killed in the rocket assault on the soccer field were all Druze youngsters from neighborhood towns, young men between the ages of eight and 15.
"They were going to a football instructional course with a mentor whose destiny is at this point unclear. Ten of the killed have been recognized, however there are more who were destroyed and are as yet unidentified," said Safadi, who experiences approximately 600 meters from the site of the assault.

Idan Avshalom, a senior surgeon from MDA, said the group saw obliteration and fire while showing up at the scene.
